Mark Frugoni, after having spent nearly two decades working at various investment banks, co-founded FOCUS Wealth Advisors in 2011. The company was established to provide focused advice and service to a select group of individuals, families and institutions seeking an independent and non-biased alternative to the large banks and investment firms. In addition to overseeing all corporate activities of the firm, Mr. Frugoni serves as senior wealth advisor, investment strategist and private portfolio manager where he works in concert with the various firm professionals at all levels of client interaction and service.
Mark has served in the investment and financial services industry since 1992. During this time, he worked at some of the largest and most recognizable investment banks serving in the capacity of investment strategist, portfolio manager and wealth management advisor.
Mr. Frugoni earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He completed executive education programs in wealth management theory & practice through the Yale School of Management, business finance and strategy through the Harvard Business School, modern portfolio theory through Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, business law through Cornell University Law School, family office financial management through Pepperdine's Graziadio Business School, and personal financial planning through the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business.
In 2010, Mr. Frugoni was inducted into Research Magazine’s ETF Advisor Hall of Fame for his outstanding work in the industry. In 2014, he was designated by the Family Offices Group as a Qualified Family Office Professional (QFOP), and in 2020 he completed both the Financial Management for the Family Office program through Pepperdine University as well as an exit planning advisor program from the Exit Planning Institute.
Mr. Frugoni has volunteered his time serving on advisory boards of his university as well as serving on both advisory committees and the board of directors for local and national non-profit community organizations. He supports causes that are important to himself, his family and his community. Among these causes are medical research and care, educational funding programs, community outreach services, first responder and veteran support groups, programs for those with special needs, and organizations that augment education through the development of leadership and responsibility. Mark is married, has two children and has been a resident of Houston for most of his life. He is an avid swimmer, enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
